this past few days were a really busy day for me...all because of this eid-ul adha celebration...actually, this is my first time coming to these events...I didn't come to the last two celebrations due to certain unavoidable circumstances...well, enough of my ramblings..enjoy the pix

for this event we had around 7 photographers working together..we ended up with 2000+ pictures (only from day 1). so, I can't upload all of them...

even my leg was splattered with blood..that was from a camel if I'm not mistaken

Egypt Race for the cure!!!

yeap... yesterday, there was this annual race to support breast cancer..and I joined!! well, actually I registered for the race but wasn't able to arrive on time..sampai2 je da abes race da...so takpelah, berlakon berlari sudeyh..:)

there were also breast cancer survivors..they were dressed in pink...

and finally there was this concert...and everyone started dancing....even though the sound was too loud and too high pitch it hurt my ears.. call me old, but I really didn't enjoy the concert..heh..

really nice experience....but not sure gonna enter it again next year..heh..

first update since awhile

sorry I haven't updated in awhile..kinda busy lately...

oh yeah, I'm currently using prepaid broadband...it's bloody expensive!! a couple of youtube vids and 30 EGP worth of credit gone!!..
nways, I'll be getting a more stable (and CHEAPer) line soon.. then, I'll update more regularly...;)

this year my sis tak balik sini so tak blh jadikan my niece sebagai model ucapan hari raya macam tahun lepas..

and sperti biasa, wajib mengucap hari raya dgn pantun...

p/s: starting next week, right after I finish my exams.. I'm gonna start a personal project...to keep myself busy this holiday.. I call it 101 days of summer (yeah, I got the name from the movie 500 days of summer..:D) here are the rules:

1. there must be a picture to represent each day for 101 days

2. the picture may not be taken on the day itself but it must be taken by yourself, not googled

3. the picture must somehow describe the day or is significant to the day

4. title of entry must contain the word 'day X' (X being the number of day)

that's about it I guess...these are the rules that I put to myself.. harap dapat buat sampai abes projek ni and tak tinggal stgh jalan..haha...

I learnt theres a new Malaysian artist because an egyptian gave me a CD

a Couple days ago, I went to Cairo...it wasn't planned, very spontaneous..so we didn't know what to do..in the end, we watched 'daybreaker'..kinda cool vampire movie...not a must-go-to-cairo-now-to-watch-the-movie type, more of a let's-download-the-movie-and-watch-it-on-a-Friday-night type of movie...know what I mean?...:)

on an unrelated note, while I was wandering around the mall in cairo, there were people giving out CDs and free clorets. the CD was a compilation of club songs, so I wasn't very intrigued but I wanted a clorets so I went up to them.

when I read the list of songs at the back of the CD I found there was a Malay-sounding name.. Amirah Ali and the song was katakanlah. I mean, like, wow! it was a compilation with all this arabic names & some Caucasian dudes tapi lepas tuh, track number 6--- Amirah Ali..

Personally, I've never heard of Amirah Ali before. but yesterday I found her youtube account.. she writes some good songs though I don't like all of them...:)

true I did go cairo twice and also conquered the desert...but those were the only productive days.. 5 days out of 3 weeks?...brilliant
